Born and raised in New Orleans, Emily obtained an undergraduate degree from Spring Hill College in 1998. She graduated from LSU Law School in May 2001 and five months later was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar.
Emily has 21 years of experience in general civil litigation, including insurance defense, premise liability defense, workers’ compensation defense, and maritime law involving personal injury/death litigation, cargo claims, maritime contract disputes, and passenger vessel defense and regulatory issues.
She has represented a variety of clients in maritime and general civil litigation, including family businesses New Orleans Steamboat Company and Café Beignet. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, Louisiana federal district courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Outside of the practice of law, Emily is married and the mother of three children. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, as well as reading, cooking, and gardening. She is also an active volunteer at her children’s schools and in her church community.← Team
